Cedrus Pic of the Day

Our favorite Cedrus now gets his own photo reel! A photo of Cedrus for every day, to lift your hearts with the assurance that as soon as he is 18, he will promptly end the world over a large chocolate cake!

Come to this page every day for a new Cedrus picture, which will appear at the top of the page! Regrettably, I have not found a way to turn this into a series of blog posts yet...

UPDATE: I think I managed to fix the photo-disappearing issue! Here's to hoping!


May 26rd - June 5, 2020 - Father (Daughter?) Dynamic
Uhhh.... I could've sworn I did a photo for almost all of the last eleven days, but it appears that I forgot to hit the publish button about, say, every day! Well, here is a selection of about eleven photos that I think perfectly captures the Dad and Cedrus dynamic!

So you thought that this place was Meerkat free? But no, Meerkat Cedrus is alive and kicking, with his partially toothless smile and tendency to vanish into his cabinet for long periods of time! He sure is cuter than the other Meerkats in the area!

Cedrus pulls off a stunning Michael Jackson! From the wig (that honestly looks more like Weird Al's hair) to the fabulous red Thriller Jacket and dress shoes, Cedrus is completely ready for 2014 Halloween! And given the rain, it looks as if he might suddenly break out in an MJ rain scene!

Five feet tall and still as immature as the day he was born! You can see his inner baby channeled out into his clear desire for a delicious pie! (I'm honestly surprised there's any pie left to eat, since he spent three hours making it. His self-control must have improved!)

I think we all know this picture! Count Cedrus isn't happy, and he is going to express it very vocally! This is one of those moments in which I would have already dropped the camera and ran, but I am grateful that Dad held on long enough to get this photo! (The question is, did the camera survive the assault?)

I seem to be unable to escape 2012! Count Cedrus is now a Dragon Rider! First focused on his task, then eyeing up the ladies!, then looking right at the camera...and...viola! The smile! (I'm pretty sure the ladies have all fallen off their horses at this point...)

      It is a great photo! I now have access to a vast photo library, and I am enjoying swimming in photos of adorable small children! (Plus, of course, a smattering of Cedrus Butt photos)

    Wow! I had never seen the incredible June 7, 2012 photo. CC's expressions haven't changed a bit and neither has Grandpa's excellent smile. None of the other photos load for me. I have tried viewing in Chrome as well. I' sending you the a screenshot, Toothless.

    Excellent choices of CC pics, Prince Kestrel! Your beautifully written narratives accompanying each photo only make the experience more enjoyable.

    Gee I wish I had a big brother who loved me enough to post a "My Most Beautiful and Epic Sister Fudge's Pic of the Day". Even after I mowed the lawn, cleaned the house, did his stinky load of laundry, and cooked him a nice dinner, all while he napped in an easy chair with his mouth wide open like an airplane hanger, I thought I'd finally earned at least a hug from my big brother. But guess what? Chicken Butt! I mean, oops, I got distracted :-)

    He popped into my room while I was finally resting and said: "Where the heck is my cardamom, ginger, fennel tea served neither too hot nor too tepid, in a saucer fit for a king, with whole cardamoms on the side, and a piece of decadent walnut fudge with a fresh mint leaf resting atop for garnish?"

    When I sobbed and cried about his lack of appreciation, he made the effort of giving me a present the next morning. I tore into the wrapping paper, only to find a whoopee cushion. Cedrus Wet The Bed.  This is what Steve announced at the breakfast table yesterday.  No, Steve was not eating breakfast at that time but the rest of us were.  Therefore, he apparently has no issues with bringing up such topics while the rest of us are trying to enjoy our breakfast. Fall 2020 Classes

 Kids no longer bring bags and bags full of projects they did at school.  It was a lot of work to sort through everything but also really fun to review and save memorable projects.  I still haven't completely sorted through the stuff from kindergarten!  What I liked about the mounds of schoolwork stuff was the way I could track what boys were up to.  With homeschooling almost everything is online and it is hard to capture the feel of the year.   Before we get too far into the school year I want to capture what boys are up to this fall.  (If you intend to continue reading this blog post, some of the more interesting stuff is at the bottom.) Today I had a happy time in the park this morning! Running with slow Walk Human. So many smells. Delicious odors of coyote poop. No leash. Left the park through the top exit that I'd never smelled or seen before. Met Cusco Friend. Cusco Friend started out snarling and barking at me, which was scary, but he had his human on a leash so I just ran away and then came back and played at him until he started playing with me. He was good at wrapping his human up with the leash! Walk Human did blah blah with his human. She said they named him Cusco because they were in Cusco, Peru when they first saw his picture, I think? Something like that. Humans do too much blah blah, not enough playing. Walk Human gave me a new toy! It wobbles around and drops out treats. Sometimes I can get it spinning and it throws a bunch around. I can just barely get the top in my mouth to carry it around. See my first time playing.
